Watched 3 innings of Cherryville vs West Montgomery game. Moved on to Kings Mountain vs Southpoint game. I think Cherryville and Kings Mountain are good enough to go deep in the playoffs. Maybe to Raleigh?

    Iredell County

All 3 teams from Iredell County lost in the 1st round. Could it be that not having a conference tournament this year hurt these teams chances?

    NPC Conference Tournament

As one of the coaches in the NPC, I think it would have definitely helped to have played in a conference tournament. Practices are tough to run late in the season, especially when you don't play for a whole week. Both North and West Iredell should have won their first round games either way though. West led through their entire game and North only allowed one hit and lost.

I beleive having a conference tournament does help. Look at the CCC as Ledford, West Davidson, East Davidson and Central Davidson are all in the second round. All have the potential to advance to the third round.

    Hopewell vs West Forsyth

2nd round playoff game Hopewell vs West Forsyth was a very good game. WF got on the board first with a run in the 1st. Hopewell held them at bay the rest of the game. Melton's pitching was just too much for the WF Titans.

Hopewell's Jessie Teague belted a three run homer in the 4th which proved that was all the Titans of Hopewell need for the victory. Melton and Hopewell has improved all season long. I think you can expect them to go deep in the playoffs. Final score Hopewell 3 WF 1.
