Their elected by the coaches of the conference at the end of a season. It's an honor to be elected all conference, it goes on your resume for colleges to look at.

    Politics---Brown Nosing ????

It should be done by Stats, but it usually is a result of how many times you are in the paper or TBR----LOL....GURU.

Guru, you are so wrong, my daughter made all conference by playing hard, practicing hard, and being in the top three in batting on her team. It had nothing to do with her name being in the paper or on TBR.

Using stats only would be ridiculous as I've seen many teams score any ball hit safely a hit. Is that right? Coaches know who the true players are and who's "stats" are inflated. Folks whose kids don't get picked always need to find a justification and this is an easy one for them to hang on to.

Welcome to TBR. What school does your DD play for? Hope you enjoy our littile part of the softball world.
All Conf picks are done during a coaches meeting at the end of regular season, and not usually released until after the last post season game for that team. It is not a perfect process (what is?) but the girls that receive the award should be proud of their accomplishment. After you spend some time with our TBR family you will get to know the personalitys of our regulars. Most all know the game well and some like to poke fun or stir the pot on occasion. take it all with a grain of salt and a smile on your face and you will have a good time on here and learn alot about the game our girls play. I know I have.

    Guru, you're a hoot! :notworthy
Last year a player and friend of my dd was chosen as one of the all-conference players and she only played in a few games and the rest of the time held down the bench and cheerleaded with my dd. She was very shocked to have been chosen and still scratches her head on that one. But she is an awesome player. I guess it can be another one of hs softball's mysteries lol.

    Panty In A WAD !!!

I was kidding !!!---- LOL = Laugh Out Loud, but I will have to say that my daughter had the second highest batting average on the team as a starting Freshman, and she got nothing, probably one of the best arms, and defense on the team...ask the parents...so it doesn't always go by hard work....catch my drift.....:94poopbanana-thumb1------------GURU

    Be nice

    Guru
Maddog is a first time poster. Cut him some slack and at least welcome him to TBR. I understand your fustration of how you preceive it being done in your conf. But be happy for, and supportive of the girls that made it.
You gonna be at Butler tonight? Should be a great matchup.
