This has the potential to be a huge game.

I agree. On paper, Butler has to be considered a heavy favorite, but I don't know if they have faced a pitcher like Dustin Harrington this year.
He's one of those guys who normally gets stronger as the game goes on, but I'm not sure if those 60 pitches in his last outing will change that.
If Butler can't get him early, an upset is possible.
The other thing to keep in mind is if they try to play small ball, Harrington's fielding will come into play. Dustin and Ryan Leach are the two best fielding pitchers that I have seen.
On the other hand, AC is 0-4 in games against SC and ACR this year so I'm not sure if they have beaten a top notch 4A team yet.

I know anything can happen and that's why you play the games....but as Braves has been saying for a while now...Butler looks like a team of destiny. These guys are playing well and man can they hit the ball.

As dr.enuf said, this has the potential to be a huge game.:2:

Upsets are always possible but since they lost at Anson County the team hasnt lost and thats their goal not to lose again, Butler is focused so if they lose Alexander Central will have to play the game of their lives their wont be any overlooking, and btw Butler doesnt play much small ball usually they dont have to.

Butlers pitcher on the other hand is also a very good fielding pitcher

They have 3 pitchers...Andrew Smith who is I think 12-0...Matt Robinson who is 8 or 9-0....and Brandon Oatis who is 6-1....They have a good bullpen that hasn't hardly pitched all year because the starters finish games....The bullpen is ready .Jace bollinger, Cory Mullis...
The defense is senior oriented and don't make many mistakes....

Single elimination is tough because any team can have a bad night....but....... they are 26-1 for a reason....When their bats get going its contagious as are a lot of teams...Power thru out the lineup...should be a fun game to watch....No easy games from here out....

TMJ; I agree no easy games from here on out. To get this far you had to be a good team. There is not a team left that couldn't win it all. There are just some that have a better chance than others. There may be some minor upsets left but no big ones

    Give Butler their due...

This team is 26-1, they've gotta be pretty darn good.

No doubt. Butler and SC are probablly the 2 best teams left and at least one of them won't make it to Raleigh

I have no dog in this fight, so I'll make a prediction. I feel everybody is understandably trying to say the right things. But Butler is incredibly good. They have faced many Harrington's all year and it hasn't fazed them a bit. They cakewalked at the Easter tournament in Wilmington against some top quality teams participating. They cakewalked through a tough conference and they cakewalked through their conference tournament.

They are actually hoping a team will give them a battle....it ain't going to happen with Alex Central.

Butler rarely gets their due respect, but I'm telling you, this is one of the best HS "teams" ever.

    I'll list their strengths:

    Quality pitching
    Great hitting
    Great fielding
    Outstanding catcher
    Great chemistry
    Experienced, wizened Coach

    Weakness:

none to date, but I'll let you know when I find one

Heck, even their fans could be listed as a strength
