Okay runner on second, batter is in the box, pitcher pitches the ball, runner from second stills third, batter stays in box doesn't move, this blocks catcher view from throwing to third to make an attempt to throw runner out....Obstruction from the batter or not ????

    Nope...

No, batter is entitled to the box. Catcher needs to be coached to receive ball and throw either behind the batter or, depending on where the batter is, sometimes the catcher needs to move batter out of the way with left arm when coming through the throw. Better chance of interference being called if batter attempted to move and then got in the way of the catcher. We coach our catchers to throw behind the batter because they are already set up there; quicker anyway. On a first and third it is different and the catcher may have to move batter from box if they are attempting a fake and snap throw to third.

    Correct !!

The batter can stand in the box all day unless a runner is coming home then it becomes obstruction to the catcher.....GURU

If I was the catcher I would make my throw to third and if the batter was in the way then she will get hit. I would then have may catcher say "OPPS, sorry, didn't see you there"

    Another one...

Runner on first, RH batter, fake bunt/steal, batter fakes a push bunt pulling the bat back but stepping in front of the plate, catcher throws down but had to alter the throw because of the batter being in the line of fire in front of the plate, but no contact was made. Runner was safe at second, no call at the plate.

    What do you think?

Batter is out of the box. May or may not be interference. Would be the umpire's judgment call.
