I totally agree with sprtndad that it is sad that we need to point out individual errors. Nobody knows better than the player who made an error that they should have made the play. They will dwell on that error for days probably. No one is ever harder on them than themselves!!
Please know that these boys, and they are still boys, read these boards. They don't need to be singled out for errors. ALL of these boys need and deserve more of the accolades and praise and positive exposure just as much as Madison. To read these board sometimes, one would think he is the only one on the team. He is awesome and one of a kind and I love him and his whole family to death, but he would not have the wins he has without his teammates and (yes I'm going to say it) I'm sure it is hard to be his teammate sometimes when all you read and hear is Madison this and Madison that. No one has ever commented on Madison's errors and yes he has made some too. Just ask his Dad. LOL Have you never watched a Major League game? They make errors every night!!! Do you really expect these guys to go errorless in every game with all the pressure they have on them at this young age??
Oh and this is just a pet peeve of mine, please don't take this personally as a cutdown because I don't mean it to be, but unless you are on the team you probably shouldn't use "we" and "our". "They" deserve all "their" credit.

OK I'm now climbing down from my soapbox.

Agree 110%. I just think these guys need to get credit where credit is due. When it comes down to it the ultimate goal is a WIN and we are all very happy. Also would like to commend Butler on the game last night. No matter how far they were down they never gave up. They are indeed a very good team.

Butler didn't play its best game either...Smith looked tired....Give credit to SC cause they jumped him early but believe me, every team has that game and for Butler it was Tuesday night....It can happen to SC as well....I do hope they win it all ..it was their night....Hats off to them but I wished they played a 3 game series to convince me that they are the better team...Last night they were!!!

Guys sorry you took me the wrong way. I'm totally behind every player on the team. And as for Craig he is probablly one of my favorites and a very fine player. And yes I remember not one but many of the great plays he has made this year both in the field and at the plate. This team is loaded with talent and I would never think it is a one man show. One thing I will disagree with though is that it is not wrong to point out individual errors and mistakes. I played a long time ago but when we messed up it was just expected to be singled out for it. But enough of that I just wanted you to know I'm not picking on anyone player. Hey we won the game everyone should learn from their mistakes and hopefully it won't happen when it really matters

    Very, very classy post

It can be a tough situation having Madison as your teammate. Yes, SC is so much more than one person and I bet if you asked Madison about his exposure, he would tell you it makes him uncomfortable. Yet, his teammates love him which leads me to believe that he handles it well.

Are their any jealousies? Of course there are..it's human nature. But I bet if you asked his teammates if they preferred playing with him vs against him...what do you think?

It is true we don't hear enough about Severt, Chavis, Coffey, Sheehan, Craig, Leprovo, etc.....I love hearing about those guys. They are all champions :cheer:

Yep...I do. The young man gets too much exposure :laugh4: ...but I considered adopting him; until his mama told me how much he eats.
