    Coach

I was not going to put this on TBRs because it is not what Monte wants but I want people to know once and for all the true COACH!

Really did not know Monte very well but during my ordeal with cancer, I got an e-mail from him encouraging me, telling me how much I was needed and offering his prayers. He told me things he had been through and what it meant to have support. His support has continue through the almost eighteen months of treatment and surgeries and several other tough events. Just last week I got a card from him and as I read it tears were running down my face! It was one of the most uplifting items I have ever received.

We should never judge other people and especially before we know them. Monte is a prime example of people doing that very thing. In my book, he is at the top of the hill! He is a true friend and I want him to be reconized for the person he truly is, a Prince! Sorry Monte, don't want to ruin your edge! ha ha Thank U Coach Sherrill for being there at a time when I needed it most!

While I am at it, Coach Lambros is another one that I have gotten to know over the past couple years. He is a players coach and if anyone thinks he does not put his players first, U have just not spoken to him for very long. Thanks Mike for your kindness as well.

Lastly and I promise I will shut-up! Thanks to all the Lady Blues and their families as well as coaches. U keep me young, U keep me positive, and I love U all!

Lied, one more, heard from Kendryl yesterday and she is progressing very well! What a wonderful story for a truly wonderful family. Thanks for all the prayers from TBRS for her, it has worked! We will see that young lady on the Diamond this summer, a miracle which I for one will certainly enjoy.

    OK I am finished.

This post deserves a TBR Hall of Fame thread by itself. I can not express how proud I am of everybody that posted...especially Can Am. I have always liked Can AM, my but respectometer for him has risen.

Yep...Coach Sherrill has been unfairly criticized in the past because many people didn't know or understand him (outside his family and close friends). I believe his baring of his soul (on TBR) gave people an opportunity to know the real Monte Sherrill and found out he is a 1st class person...and not too bad a coach, either. :laugh4:

Abbey fan- that was very emotional and I don't mind telling you I had to wipe my eyes a few times. You are in my prayers

incredible post by abbeyfan. I really have only had limited dealings with Coach S but I can tell you I have found him to be everything that his post indicated... a consumate professional who preaches the walk not just the talk and starts by walking the walk himself first. Its human nature not to like those that are on top, unfortunately, and a great deal of unjust criticsim has come his way as a result. Perhaps the highest praise I can give would be by making the statement I wish my daughters could play for the man. Congrats on a great season by anyone's standards and while it would be PC to wish you "good luck" next year I think luck has very little to do with your programs success.

    Two Awesome Coaches...

Any coach who can admit and accept there shortcomings for what they are is a good coach...Any coach who takes the blame for there loss and blames no one but there self is a great coach...And any coach who still has the respect and class to pay his respects to the coach he just lost to is an awesome coach...These two coaches are role-models to this great game...
