I have to agree with you on Watson. He pitched a very good game. SC got a few hits but not many were hit real hard. We have been hitting the ball hard in the playoffs so far and last night he kept the ball in the park against us. For SC the key was that we didn't strikeout much, put the ball in play and didn't give up. We haven't had much practice at having to come from behind and it was good to see the guys battle back. ND has a tough team that a lot of people have overlooked. The series is far form over and we need to finish strong. I do like our chances though.
At the plate Chavis, Bumgarner and Coffey are on fire right now. Stanbury seems to get a big hit every time he comes in and the whole team had some good swings last night. Hope we can keep it up for a few more games
One more thing to remember Zach Brown who will probablly start tonight is the only pitcher to throw a no hitter for us this year!!!!!!!!!! Almost had a perferct game and I think the only runner reached on a passed ball strikeout

No argument here. Those 3 don't appear to have a hole in their swing. You just have to survive the top of SC's order right now.

What do you SC people feed those kids? If a fight had broken out last night, ND would be the underdog if they had bats vs. barehands. Biggest high school team I've seen since St Ignatius of Cleveland, Ohio. And that was a private high school of 2000 boys (er, should I say men) who could recruit.

We are lucky to have some big strong boys this year. Believe me it is not like that every year. Height is something you can't build but the size has come from the many many hours of hard work these guys have put in lifting weights and working out over the last 4 years

    Good Game

Excellent game to watch last night. Both pitchers had excellent performances. Game could have easily been a 2-1 game had it not been for the error that both teams made. North Davidson is a very impressive baseball team. Go get'em South Caldwell!

    South Caldwell Roster

If anyone has a roster with numbers, positions and names for South Caldwell that could be emailed...I would greatly appreciate it. I am announcing tonight's game at North and want to be sure I have the correct pronounciations and spellings. Email them to [email protected] and thanks in advance!

The quickest thing is to go to the following url link: http://www.caldwellbaseball.com/

You will see 4 icons (1 for the Caldwell County Post 29 American Legion Team) and 1 icon for each of the 3 high schools in the county. Click on the Spartan icon then click on the Roster link. David Parsons does a fantastic job with keeping this web site updated for us.

One note: Jimmy Messer wore #20 last night but has worn #27 all year to date.

i was very impressed with clay watson. after just a couple innings i just had the feeling that he had what it took to get out of any situation.
