Game 2 N Davidson vs S Caldwell

    Another barn burner. North Davidson 8 S Caldwell 5

    ND threw ace Zach White. SC threw their #3 (I don't know his name). White was working on short rest & did not have his usual nasty off speed stuff. But he gutted it out & managed to finish it. SC fell behind 8-1 but like last night refused to lose. They're deserving of their ranking & reputation.

    Game 3 at SC Saturday night 7pm. Madison + the home crowd = a tough situation. But I have learned to never doubt the ND kids. They just keep finding a way. It should be a packed house & a fun night.

    game threes are always tense from the first pitch. I'll actually be in Lenoir Saturday night - wonder if the Mrs. will let me go to another ball game this weekend...

    Of course, you have to come...I'll be there. But I'm tellin' ya, I don't care how many games you have gone to, it's a special treat to go to The Rock in Sawmillville. It's a one of a kind experience...and if we hook up, I'll introduce you to the whole town

    sorry...no promises, but I'll try. Dbacks lost a finger trying to take the last one from me.

    I guess we'll go by Grandma Bumgarner's Kountry Kitchen and pick up a few.......and some brownies.

    It sure would be nice to go to The Rock one time and see a big ol' TBR sign saying, " Welcome all TBRers to Sawmillville. Our Rock has Clark Kent and his name is B-u-m-g-a-r(without the "d")n-e-r"

    It should be a great game. ND is really good

    If you could

    put it in a bottle and sell it you would never have to work again. Put what in a bottle? That stuff Zach White has! Heart baby , big time heart. Is the kid talented? Yes. But what makes him so tough is he so damn tough! He is a bulldog. That guy competes. He wants the ball! And he will battle you all night long. I think ND has earned everyones respect with the way they have competed in the series. Regardless of what happens tomorrow they have earned my respect. They will show up on Saturday. And they will play their hearts out. And if they dont win , it will not be because they were not ready and willing to give it all they have. Tons of respect for ND and all their players.

    7 pm as usual. Better get there early. I went to set my chairs out tonight and about half the town had the same idea. Already a packed house 19 hrs before game time.

    Can"t disagree with any of this. ND is sure better than their record shows. Lot of fight in them. We (Spartans) need to come ready for a battle on Saturday. I know we will be up for the test.
