What teams have shown the most interest in Bumgarner?

I've watched Bumgarner pitch three times this year and saw some of the scouts around. I was just wondering if there are certain teams that are known to have shown more interest than others? Any word about the Braves as possible suitors? Are there certain scouting directors that are known to have showed up at any of the games? Also, any reliable word on how hard Bumgarner was throwing the other night? From a distance, he looked like he was throwing as hard as I've ever seen him.

 

With a Stalker, against Providence, early 93-95. Sixth and seventh hit 98 3 times, and one pitch above the strike zone 99. That is the last exact numbers that I have seen. As far as interest from Pro teams. All of them have sent their scouting director, at least 23 of them have even sent their General Manager. Braves are very interested but they pick 14 and a lot of other teams are just as interested and pick earlier. I guess time will tell. I would ask that you keep Madison and his Family in your prayers for a while. He could be facing a lot of adult decisions very soon.

MLB.com has the Dodgers considering Madison with their 20th pick as of May 23.

 

Against North Davidson Saturday, a reliable source (posts on here as 'Nine') sat directly behind a scout with a gun for a couple of innings. Madison was 'only' throwing 88-92. I choke on that word 'only'...92 is pretty amazing for cruise control speed.

Madison was working on 3 days rest, so that might account for a bit of the discrepancy. Also guns vary, as we all know.

 

What team is most interested right now...

That would be South Caldwell, those boys have a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP to win!

Good point. Let's not flood Madison with decesions like that until after we win that State Championship. Knowing Madison and his family at this point all he is thinking about is this weekend. Go get um Spartans.

That is so true the kid seems like a true competitor...but just for kicks I saw that the Orioles had him on there short list at the 5th pick

What are folks thoughts on Madison? Where will he be drafted? Will he go to AA or AAA first or off to Rookie Ball? What is his timetable for pitching on the Big Leagues?
