How does everyone see this match up? Powerhouse ER against 2-time State Champs N Lenoir Hawks.
Very evenly matched with stud players everywhere.
    ER-Leach, Blanton, Melton et. al.
    NL-Sowers, Sutton, Manning, Ginn, Smith

    Should be a great series.

I have not seen N Lenoir play but their reputation speaks for itself. However I have seen ER play and have watched that group of players for several years and I know they are very determined to win it all. Wouldn't surprise me if they take it in 2 games. Good Luck ER. You guys deserve it.

    Good Match Up

This should be an excellent series. I really hate that the 2A and 4A are not playing at the same venue. It should be a good one to watch.

    I'm leaning toward ER!

Being one of the few eastern posters on here, I'm going with North Lenoir. I really could not begin to figure out who will win...these are two great teams. I heard Coach 27 say ER was perhaps the best team in the state, regardless of classification.....and he is a wise man. But I gotta support my eastern teams.

So Braves, you are an downeasterner? I knew there was something I liked about you. I grew up in Kinston and my kid played with a lot of those NL boys in the AAU Nationals one summer.
I'm with you on this one. My teams up here (western nc)have played the ER kids since way back and I know they are tough but I gotta go with the Hawks.
I'm thinking of attending the Saturday game.

So I figure you must be from White Oak or Jacksonville. Just a wild guess but here is a big qualifying question for you; Where's the best 'Que down there.
    Take your time.

    Now hold on

Braves! I did say ER could be the best team in the state regardless of classification. But so could NL. These two teams have it all. Great pitching with depth. Great posistion players and line ups that can hit 1-9. Not to mention they are both extremely well coached. I cant pick this one. Its just to even to call. The team that gets the timely hits and makes the most plays will win. They are both talented and hungry. And they both play with a great amount of pride. Its gonna be a great series.

In my opinion, this is the best matchup of all the games. I'll be shocked if either team dominates

If these teams match up fairly even....watch out for ER because of one man...he will find a way to win, especially in big games and you know who I'm talking about as much as it pains me to admit.

Will be a very exciting series. While down at the beach this weekend I spent a lot of time with some baseball guys from the Kinston/New Bern area and they are excited about the series. It was interesting to note that even though they were eastern folks, they all agreed that ER would probably take the series over NL without a doubt.
