plentyyyyyyyyy of love for everyone, believe me, didnt want to come off as an asa lovefeast, but i remember too many tournaments where we were limited to 65 minutes because the director had too many teams and not enough fields. wife has consented to allow me one six hour session at might casey, will be good to see some old friends and i'll bring ya a hat.

    later guru

    Thanks

Thanks for all kind words reagrding the tournament this past weekend in Burlington. We tried something a little different with the format and so far it seemed to be a big hit with everyone.

The college coaches showing up was just a little added benefit from playing in an ASA tournament. We certainly apprecitae them being there as well.

The worship service was another thing that was different, but we had over 100 people attend and had one of our 12U Mom's share a brief message and her daughter, a 12U player, sing. Again, nothing but a positive response so far. The service did put us a little further behind than expected, but next time we will allow more time in the overall schedule.

As for the young umpire, he actually still is in high school, a senior. I made a decision to use a couple of younger ASA umpires, but IMO, if we don't develop some of the younger talent, and with ASA growing so fast, we could be in a bind when it comes to quality umpiring down the road.

The comments recieved during and after the tournament regarding the umpires have been 98% positive. I don't think there has been or ever will be a tournament with a 100% positive response. (just part of the job, I guess).

The Cardinals would like to thank all players, parents, coaches, fans AND cheeze for making the tournament such a great success. We understand you have a choice of where to play every weekend, and we hope you will continue to support NC ASA softball when you can.

Can't wait to see the pic's!!!!

appologies to rockers and carolina curve

I cannot size the pictures down enought to put them on the board, however, i am sending them into "you know who" to try and get them on the next calender. i do not have the skills of change-up2, who really has this down, but i promise, i will get better. . . . or stop trying to put pictures on.
