    Predictions......

    Did anyone tell the East teams to not bother showing up?

    Chapel Hill is lead by a very strong pitcher who is below the radar in NC
    because she just moved from Texas. The rest of the squad has several members of Butch's NC Flames.....

    Pine Forest hits the ball.... and also has a strong senior battery...
    pitcher has 37k's in 28 innings, allowed 5 hits, 1 run during the playoffs
    Infield has been together for 2 years. Most of them have come out of the Carolina Wildcat organization.

    It will be a fun weekend.....

    let us know

    let us know if the PF pitcher causes a stir at WC with "digging out" a hole at the pitchers' circle.........ask Garner about that.

    I was there....

    It kinda started as a distraction... then got pretty funny...

    looked like the scene out of the "Cool Hand Luke" movie......
    Dig a hole, fill it back up..... went on every inning

    3A may be best

    In looking at the classifications for this weekend, the 3A may be the most competitive overall. 4 studs.
    HC from the east is due a state title. If not, could they be labelled as a constant runnerup like the Buffalo Bills? Always a bridesmaid, & never a bride?

    Just kidding........all have excelled to still be playing the first weekend of June each year.

    The team that wins the opening game will have an advantage due to weather being so hot and muggy. Pitchers will suffer if pitching multiple games. Don't count out the eastern schools just yet. Butch's Flames have some quality players so the HS teams will be pretty good.
