    Found out some more info on his status at Catawba:

    He made the grades to be eligible, so that's not the case. The problem at Catawba occurred because his academic scholarship required him to have a GPA higher than the NCAA minimum and he wasn't able to get it, thus losing those scholarships. Catawba's expensive to go to.

    Hopefully he gets a shot at a good JC next year and can get an offer for his junior and senior years.

    Kannapolis now 2-2 in league, 3-5 overall. At Mocksville tomorrow.

    Kernersville Post 36 beat Randolph County Post 45 11-10. UNC signee Ben Bunting and one of the top juniors in NC, Tyler McSwain both went yard in this game. Logan Self came in and shut the door on Post 45 throwing 4 innings while striking out 8 for the 'W'

    Concord was defeated by Rowan on Friday night 9-2. Cy Young threw a very good game. Concord bounced back tonight to beat Mooresville 14-0 at home. COncord plays again tomorrow night at South Rowan.

    Sluggish game; not pretty at the plate for either team other than Gonza for Western.

    Lexington defeated Rowan Co. in 10 innings 9-8 Saturday night. Lexington spotted Rowan 8-2 before mounting a late comeback. The winning run in the 10th scored on a bases loaded walk. Lexington improved to 4-1 (3-1 in league) and Rowan suffered its first loss of the season.

    It would appear that Kannapolis needs to work on their extra points... :bonk:

    Was Levi Michael & Zack Briggs at the game?

    I realize the headlines on TBR are Caldwell & Rowan (and rightfully so). But don't dismiss Post 8. They can swing it this summer...better than any season I've watched in 10 years. Loaded for bear...if their pitching can step up. If Zach White was playing...Oh My!
