    Rowan Flames

I would like to add one more team to the mix.......The Rowan Flames played some really good ball this weekend. We lost to Jim Allen's Magic 1-0 in extra innings. There were bad calls for BOTH sides, so I will not complain. The Flames were caught in a pickle, 0 outs, bases loaded, and the well coached Magic turned a double play. Came out of that inning with 0 runs. Had plenty of chances to win. Too bad we couldn't win to have a chance to play the Blues. Great coaches, players, parents, and fans!

I remember some of those Chicks from the old Baseburners team from a couple seasons ago too. They have some great sticks on that team... That #54 and #7 are both really good hitters. #12(LF) is one of the most consistent with base hits that I've seen in a while. Don't under estimate that Chick! Don't know her name, but she will surprise you. They have some good, young pitchers on that team too. Great coaching and an all around great group of girls. If I'm not mistaken, Rocky has had some of those girls for a couple years. That says a lot about the coach if the girls have been dedicated to him for that long. Don't you agree? Next time at the field, give them a look.

The Worth Cobras won the Spartanburg Memorial Day ISA tournament over the Carolina Thundercats and Xplosion. They looked tough.

My Rally Katz 14U were undefeated in the Worth Memorial day tourney in Spartanburg as well. We're doing ok for first year 14U playing the big tournaments like sweet 16 and anniversary tournaments (17-8) in NSA, and 7-0 in SC.

My DD's team (the Carolina Sandlappers) was on the wrong end of two of those Memorial Day games, finishing third in that tournament. The RK's Mariah has pretty impressive fast ball speed, especially for this age.
