Do you think the people in SC care about what the other 49 states think? C'mon, we're talking about South Carolina where they're proud that the education system is even ranked.

I can't wait for Game 2 tonight. Alex White on the hill for UNC. I've seen this guy perform well too many times. White throws well and UNC sweeps on their way back to Omaha.

    analysis

UNC's starting pitching didn't perform very well at super-reg, but their bullpen was good and their hitting really came through.

USC strong out of the gate all 3 games, but could not hold a lead. Their starting pitchers did very well, but bad bullpen and sub-par defense. I thought a couple of their players were somewhat lackadaisical on a few plays.

    anyway.

im glad those kids will get a second chance. its also nice to see them send the SEC packing for second straight year. the series ending at Bama last year was more exciting but winning any super regional is damn fine. i hope we can revive our rivalry with South Carolina in all sports. this may help rekindle some of the old fires.

    Two different styles

Man could those two teams have been any different? All the SC kids looked like football players while the UNC kids all looked like middle infielders. SC lived and died by the homerun ball while UNC won with better pitching and defense. Fun series to watch. Mike Fox has done some job building that program.

USC's starting pitching actually turned out better than UNC, but the bullpen was a totally different story.

After those spectacular plays in the OF, I was hoping SC might bring one of those guys in to play SS.
