NC State Games , Please post info here

Man someone has figured it out. It's about a dollar. If it were about getting the kids looks. They would be giving scouts that infomation for free. I am sure that someone will justify the need for the dollars. I guess the next question is how many on the East/West team have signed for their next step College or otherwise. All good players but to take a bunch of signed players to play in front of a bunch of scouts that can't get them anyway is a waste.

 

You wouldn't make a good agent or adviser. No way they should risk injury while negotiating plus it allows others their day in the sun at the state games. Makes sense to me.

 

Many of the Top Tier players (who have already committed) want the chance to play in front of the pro guys. You can't fault them for that opportunity.

Whatever warts one can find with an All Star event...The State Games is the biggest Showcase tournament in our state. Everybody that participates love it...and the coaches sacrifice their time to coach it. It's a great series that develops region rivalries. The players may be showcasing, but they are playing to win..there's bragging rights winning this event.

Thursday Games

Sorry Coach, I had to work today and don't have many details:

Region 3 beat Region 1.
Region 5 beat Region 7.
West beat East today but East took series 2 games to 1

One thing definitely worth mentioning, Michael Nunn from Southern Alamance hit a bomb for Region 5 tonight!!!

 

I was simply asking why the players that were drafted were for the most part not on the rosters... When were the rosters selected? If they were selected before the draft, why are players missing? If they were selected after the draft, why is there at least one draftee on the roster? Just trying to understand how this came about...
Looking for an explanation, that's all....

 

PT- Dawgswood was just teasing you. But from talking to players in the past that were invited to the Senior series and decided not to attend; they're reason was always the same. They wanted to give the opportunity to an unsigned senior

 

I learned a few things from this thread. Lots of teams with big rosters. Some very gifted players but I must admit there are 1-2-3 on each team that shock me. I have 3 friends/kids I know well on Region 5 that really deserve the chance. They have tools and they earned it. But a couple shocked me.
