There is a point in posting this in here. Whether you like them or not, everybody must agree that their program is one of the top in the nation. What most people don't realize is that all but one of their starting positions are manned by NC players.

Yep...I'd say the talent of players in NC is among the best anywhere; and that talent is spread across countless of college teams in our state.

If UNC is going to advance very far, their starters will have to step up. They have all struggled lately. If they can keep the game close and get to their bullpen...game over!

Adam Warren was sensational yesterday. To come in at that spot..put out the fire...then shut them down; outstanding!

That's what is so good about their staff - one game it's Wooten, next game it's Warren or Danford stepping up. And Carignan throws nothing but 95 mph strikes.

I'm surprised Warren isn't getting some starts instead of White or Putkonen. I saw on IC that Fox said Woodard would be available on Sunday if they need him. Might be another commitee game to get them past Rice.

I tell you what looks good is to see Flack turning it on now that it's money time. Ackley has been struggling at the plate lately but he was swinging the bat good last night too. If those two guys get hot the Heels will be hard to beat no matter how the starting pitching does.

Chad has been outstanding. My respect for him on how he has handled some struggling times has never been higher. He has never allowed himself to get down or affect his attitude. His AB's are quality.

Dusty is facing that freshmen wall (playing over 60 games already). His swing is fine, it's just mental. He needs to be aggressive in hitter counts and to not get himself in pitcher's counts.

The person I feel that has been underrated is, Garrett Gore. His improvement from last year to this has been enormous (in the field and at the plate). He looks so much more confident and relaxed
