Just a few numbers on the DH, Alex Windham:

(I'm the stats guy for FM and for those who know me, know I keep a tight book/scoring system)

This kid hit .575 with 15 doubles, 5 triples, and 4 HRs.....she had a .648 OBP with 37 runs, and 33 RBIs. A great year for this young lady. She will be playing at Winthrop University next year.

Congrats, Alex and Jenny Luper (NC A&T)

First of all, i think everyone who made the All Observer team was deserving of the honor, But one gripe on the All Observer team, how can a player like Brittney Furr from Central Cabarrus not be on that team, Brittney has had about as solid of a 4 year career as you could ask for. Her Sophmore year she started at catcher (a position she had never played before in her life) for an undefeated top 10 nationally ranked state championship team and committed 0 errors for the season including catching 19 innings in the state championship game. Her Junior year she switched to 3rd base for the good of the team, again committed 0 errors for the season and batted well over .300, Her senior year she again is asked to fill in at catcher for several games due to injury, no comlpains she just does what shes asked and gets the job done. She lead the team in average for almost the entire season well over .400 with an on base over .500, and ended her career with 1 error that coming in the final game against North Davidson. Brittney is the true meaning of "team player" She doesnt get her named mentioned in all these awards and and doesn't get the publicity as lots of these other kids. But this doesnt bother her or affect her game she just keeps on grinding away at thigns. But all you can say about her is she is a professional and solid player whatever you may ask her or wherever she is playing. Maybe this is just my opinion but she could start on my team any day!!

    Never know!

Brittney Furr was selected to the Region 6 All-District team by the NCFSCA which puts her in nomination for All-State in 4A. That might be interesting!

I sure hope she makes All-State.There won't be a girl on the team that deserves it more than she. Brittany is a top notch player, that just quietly gets it done every game she plays. Will be a great player at the next level !!
