I hate to say it, but you guys are right and I was wrong to make a derogeratory comment towards Coach Graham over one incident. Let's just say it struck a nerve seeing him publicly dress down a player. I've hit the saturation point on that kind of stuff.
Put me in the idiot box and throw away the key.

    I think Carigan

is so effective because he is effectively wild. I agree with the other comments that he throws to alot of different locations. He also misses out of the zone alot and then throws in the zone when he has to. Even though he throws alot of FB's he rarely throws two back to back anywhere near the same spot. You see guys bringing it in the low to mid 90's but they are getting hit alot more often and harder than Andrew. They are usually the guys that are in and around the zone consistently. I think Carigan is so effective because he is "effectively wild". JMHO

    Heels

I'm originally from Raleigh and my blood runs red, but I find myself pulling like hell for the Heels in this CWS. We played against the Ackley kid last year and he is the real deal and seems like a classy kid. As for the third strike call that was ridiculous. The kid's bat wasn't long enough to foul that pitch off. I'm all for painting the corners and giving some if the pitcher consistently hits that spot but that ball was way way outside and I dont care if it hit the mitt or not, the catcher was set up behind the other batters box. I feel the Heels were still going to win the game but that call was a shame. Any coach would be raising hell if it went against him in that situation.

Just for the record,,,, most of you know I'm an NC State fan, but yes I'm pulling for the Heels just as I would pull for any other local team in Omaha. But in my "make believe baseball world",,, the Wolfpack would be in Omaha...
