I believe this is why most people haven't spoken up. There are many people intimate with the program that are "dancing in the street"...if you don't believe that, then you know nothing of the program.

I guess that means he is one heckuva recruiter. Apparently his coaching skills were good also, just not people skills.

    walk Horton

I still think that Todd R. should have walked Josh Horton intentionally with 1st base open at the CH regional.
Could have changed a lot of history at several schools for the past 3 weeks !!

    i don't think there were 20 hr's 86 rbi's and .400 ba,socon poy and aa on the bench ,. if wcu got average production from 2cd basemen say 300 ba with 5 hr's and 30 rbi's they don't make the ncaa's

Braves, from what I have gathered, you hit the nail squarely on the head. Boy have I heard some good things about Filipek.

As of now Erik Filipek is still on board as the recruiting co-ordinater. He is the staff person responsible for the talent level that currently exist at WCU. Lets hope that the next coach will recognize the recruiting ability of Coach Filapek and keep him on staff. Braves is right, anyone closely involved in the program is aware of the morale problems that have existed at WCU for sometime.

I believe Filipek deserves the chance to coach this team. I think he would do a fine job...even for a yankee :laugh4:
