Alot of schools are looking at him. He visited Penn State (just to watch their spring game). Local ACC schools and UT have been intrested. Wofford is the only school I believe that wants him to run the ball.

I'm sure there are plenty of smaller schools that would give him a shot at running the ball, but I guess it comes down to if he would rather play big time college ball or be more of standout at a smaller school. Either way a big year for Watauga could get him some real attention!

I could see him at an ACC school, but probably not running much. He'd be a standout at app (and have a great chance at a few rings too!) But I heard he twisted his knee again in a scrimmage...any truth to that?

been hurt on and off during the off season... nothing too major though... no doubt he will be ready by season time... still works out hes fine dont worry... running back at app could be tough though... i mean they are a national champ team and they have a sophomore backup in Devon Moore... who is considered to possibly be better then richardson when hes a senior. Id say probably safety at app. I heard Wofford offered him a full ride and promised a RB position.

Yeah, Brent made some amazing catches last year in the JV ranks playing at tight end, the game against Reynolds in particular he made one touchdown catch in the back of the endzone that I don't think anybody thought he would make. I'm courious though as to whether he'll ultimately get out of football because he is also a pretty good baseball player playing Legion Ball down in Morganton, he may end up dedicating more to baseball but if he does suit up for the Titans in August he'll give us another option.

The newcomer that may have the most impact this upcoming year may be McDowell's new QB, Patrick Martin. Patrick was the QB last year on the JV's and from what I have seen in recent weeks he may end up being a pretty good varsity QB.

My guess is that McDowell will see the most improvement from last year based on the JVs finishing 2nd, and the fact that Buggy is back. Patrick seemed very cool under presure last year when I saw him, seemed like a smart kid, if he can step up on the varsity level we could all see a very different McDowell team come fall....

Is Chavis Hamilton playing football for McDowell or is just going to play basketball? Does anybody know the answer? I know he played football last year.

Last I've heard (which was shortly after school let out in June) was that Chavis was leaning towards basketball but I would never count out the idea of him suiting up for football.
