    Dirtbags 18's

Patrick Johnson threw a five inning no hitter this morning against Apache Baseball Club out of Florida. He allowed one baserunner a walk in the second inning. It was absolutely a dominant performance. The Dirtbags won 10-0 and finish the pool play round 2-1. We will have to wait and see what happens now.

    Panthers 18U-2007

From the WWBA web site. They are now set to play the Florida Pokers on East Cobb's Field 1 tomorrow morning at 9:00. The Pokers had one loss and ended up in a 3-way tie for first in their preliminary pool. The Panthers' championship round pool also includes preliminary pool winners Braves Scout Team (3-0) and Virginia Cardinals (2-0-1).
If they make it to the finals, the Panthers will have played 7 games in 4 days (after 3 games in the first 3 days). This situation is not unique to them; the winner on Monday will be a team with a very deep rotation.

Dissappointed or not still bad situation for Simmons maybe not NC State but for him. He felt not wanted, and pushed out. And They wanted him to go to a JUCO and Seth did not think that, that was the best thing for him. NC State may not have been too dissappointed but Simmons is in a better place for him.
