Concord now falls to 3-14 on the year and will end
the painful season on Thursday July 5th with a double
header at home against West Iredell. Hopefully they can break the nine game losing streak and end the season on a positive note.



Congrats to all the teams that make the playoffs and good luck. If you can post the teams and game times maybe we can attend a game or two.

mooresville beats s.rowan 14-4 tonight. Mooresville will play a dh on Sat. against rowan. Ought to be a good one.

Concord finishes the season at 5-14. This has been a painful growing season for Post 51 in Jr Legion baseball. I am going to stay positive and end my comments on the team here.

 

The legion brass has pulled it off again instead of having the playoff format it has had forever the brass all of sudden decided to have a qualifying tournament in cherryville, Now this is the way it is suppose to be 2 teams advance from area 3, 1 plus cherryville in area 4. now they want to play a 3 of 5 series in first round and bring 4 teams from each area plus cherryville (win or loose) for a qualifying tournament for the state. now this seems to me that cherryville is going to eat steaks while everyone else pays for it .

look at the revenue these teams will loose Mocksville and Rowan stand to loose atleast 500.00 a game These teams are the largest draw in jr legion South rowan and Mooresville stand to loose a pile also. How can these team afford to travel to a tournament in Cherryville with no revenue comming in. It looks like everything if for cherryville and cherryville alone.

 

I understand that the meeting did not go well, Most everyone in Area III wants to know why they have to go to Cherryville, You lose gates, concessions & 50/50, then have the expenses of traveling to Cherryville. I have heard some Area III teams might not go if they win the 1st. round. It is a 3+ hour drive for some to get there. Why does Cherryville get to reap all the financial benefits.Then they are putting their team in the playoffs even if they don't qualify. It is their way or the highway.

 

This is typical legion bull crap screw the area 3 teams . everyone has said Cherryville is not that good so let's look after them so they can advance and make money This is bull crap . also the commisioner is from Cherryville is this not a conflict of interest.Where is Roy at ? i forgot him and Bill and Rocky are laughing all the way to the bank at the expense of area 3.
This will be the down fall of jr. Legion

 

Heard last night area 3 is pulling out of qualifyer tournament in cherryville.

so who do yall think is gonna win against the "real deal" post 54 mocksville jr legion team and West forsyth...
