WCU any word??

    Wow!....this is a great hire. Coach Moranda was considered one of the top assistants in the country, not to mention his ability as a pitching coach. With his reputation and connections, WCU should do very well on the recruiting trail.

    And yes, if your son is a pitcher I'd seriuosly consider becoming a Catamount.

    I heard from a very reliable source that Moranda is going to hire another pitching coach rather than doing it himself. It will be interesting to see how this works out once he puts a staff in place.

    That's normally the case, but his experience will be as Mastercard likes to say "PRICELESS".

    how will he be at recruiting local talent. will he recruit in state or will he go out of state (hope not) western is known for recruiting local talent and with hard work being f=very cmpetitive. hope this continues. no question about his knowledge and experience.

    and the comment about the pitching coach is on target. I don't beliebe Moranda will have any problems recruiting our state. Heck, he is capable of convincing recruits that Cullowhee is similar to Miami.

    Coach Raleigh served as his own pitching coach the last two years of his reingn. So its not like its unheard of. It would be sweet if he brought Michael Holmes with him though.They are both Wake Forest products.
