 The Carolina Angels are here too and won their first game against the Sandy Plains Wildcats 8-3. Looks like all the NC teams won their first game. Congrats to the others. Game summary coming later.

Dirtbags '09s won their first game. My son's hs teammates, Brian Goodwin, and Ben Fish apparently played well. Goodwin was 2-4 with 2 stolen bases, and Fish was 2-4 with a double, and a triple.

    Thanks!

Thanks Braves. I have been pretty sick the last year and a half and I am so thankful to be here with the boys. We have had some tough times over the last year and I lost a few players to other teams but I am still pretty proud of them. I seem to be doing better for now and today, back out there at 3rd base, was one of the best days I have had in over a year. We do appreciate the shout out. Come on by and say hello sometime. Thanks again!

    Great to

hear that most NC teams are doing well. Sorry, Old Angel's Guy the big guys always get all the press. Glad to see you back in it. You have a great history that I am sure this board is aware of. If not they are two days late and a dollar short. Heard that only the top two teams from each pool advances.? Looks, as if day two is going to be the mixer. Let's hope that the winners of the day one win, and that those who faced a challenge over come day two. Will be looking out for day two info.:laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

That Brian Goodwin kid and Ben Fish for the '09 Dirtbags are really good. They have a different gear. Bass kid out of Durham is also pretty talented.
