Big win at Knight's Kastle for Pineville. After calling ahead to the umps asking them to delay the game until I got there, they paid no attention and it was 6-1 Pineville in the 2nd inning. I didn't get all of the details, but I understand that Pineville, obviously, came out smoking the ball. Brown for Caldwell came on in the 2nd inning and absolutely pitched phenomenal to hold Pineville off the scoreboard.

As Caldwell is prone to do, up came my boy, Shane Clawson, and drilled an opposite field 3 run HR to tie it up. It brought life back to a very quiet Caldwell team. The game remained tied going into the bottom of the 9th.

I was sitting with Coach Hal Bagwell and this is what he said, " Crump will win this game. If they throw a pitch middle-in...it's over. My team could never get this kid out". It was an 0-2 count, hanging curveball and...bam...HR...game over

The continuing lesson I learned from Hal Bagwell is this: If he tells you something, you can take it to the bank.

It was a great game, a great series so far and back to MS Deal.

On a side note. It was great to see Shane Clawson's mama and daddy, Doug Jones' mama and Hunter Glass' and Kevin Shackleford's Dad. One thing I've got to say...thank god these young men look like their mothers.

jcuncc- it's always great to see you, too.

dbacks- thanks for the tix. I hope you don't mind that I told that story about the limo in Ryan's thread.

    CM.....

No problem....if you throw something make it a hot dog with chili and slaw or maybe one of Grandma Bumgardners pork chop sammiches.

Series is shaping up to be a good one....these teams have "no quit" in them.

See you back at your place tonight....:52:
