    Churaville/Shelby and Pineville/Caldwell are truly 2 great series. Great crowds, great baseball,,,,,,,, Legion baseball at its best.

    Denver hits walkoff Granny to win

    Down 3 runs, Denver has a 9th inning miracle with a walk off grandslam with 1 out to tie the series with Charlotte 1-1.

    Pineville 9 Caldwell 7

    Pineville catcher Matt Crump hit a 9th inning 2-run walk off HR to win the game. Jason Coker pitched very well for Pineville, as he managed to get the win despite Pineville making many errors defensively. Caldwell County came back from a 7 run Pineville lead to make things interesting. This series is heating up, and tonight at Caldwell County it happens again. Probably going to be packed and lots of yelling from those nice, kind, polite Caldwell fans.

    Series tied 1-1
    Game 1: WP Messer (caldwell)
    Game 2: WP Coker (pineville)

    have seen very little posted on pineville games. could someone give a short rundown
    on their pitching and hitting best pitchers and records if known usually the paper will do this but havent seen anyting about pineville. thanks

    Charlotte Post 262 went into the bottom of the 9th inning with the lead 7 - 4 and poised to take a 2 - 0 series lead. But, the relief pitcher walked the first 3 Denver batters to load the bases and was replaced on the mound. The 2nd relief pitcher struck out the next batter - 1 out. The next Denver batter was sitting dead red and smashed a walk off grand slam home run.

    Denver - 8
    Charlotte - 7

    Series tied: 1 -1

    Game tonight at Charlotte Post 262 (Myers Park HS)

    Does anyone know when the Denver-Caldwell series is going to start. Was Tuesday but since both finished early heard they may go Monday???
