That is HUGE for South Rowan. Seems like everyone was conceding this series to Randolph County, yet the South players have been playing so well all season, is it possible they are a team of destiny? For South to take game 1 on the road and come back home tomorrow night leading 1-0,,, it will be awful tough on Randolph if South goes up 2-0.

Looks like I'll be in China Grove tomorrow night. Congrats to South.

agree TJ. if things break right, see you at South tomorrow - i'll be the guy running around at times video down right field line, at times photos back home plate, at times taking notes. i expect huge effort from randolph tomorrow night, but South has steadily improved all year, and showed tonight what they are capable of.

TJ21, i'm not a kernersville person. i won't be at the games but i'm interested in seeing how it goes. sounds like game 1 was a great game, and the rest should be as well. who pitched game 1 for both teams?

Triadman,,,, Cy Young (7-0) pitched for Rowan County,,, sorry can't remember the K'ville pitcher's name. But you were right, K'ville came to play, and they almost TOOK game 1. And as for me, I'm not a Rowan supporter either,,, but what I was trying to say earlier about picking against Rowan, came up and bit K'ville last night. In order to beat Rowan at Rowan, you must have a good lead going into the late innings. Because that Rowan home crowd is worth a good comeback against anyone in the 7,8,9 innings especially if the game is close.

This should be a good series, probably go 6 games. I expect USC signee Keegan Linza to be on the hill for Rowan tonight when it moves up to K'ville for game 2.

As I have said all year long,,,,,, teams can beat Rowan in one game (thats baseball), but Rowan's strength is they will throw a fresh college-caliber pitcher every game in this series. There are better hitting teams around than Rowan,,,,,, but Rowan's strength is starting pitching, D and coaching. They are now 33-2.

Logan Self threw last night for Kernersville and Alex Phetteplace came in-relief....I am thinking that Linza will be going against HPU signee Josh Weaver....should be a low scoring affair tonight...but now that I said that it will probably be a slugfest.....I'll see everyone at East Forsyth tonight!

this game was as advertised....great pitching and very low scoring game....Rowan capitalized on 2 walks and 2 errors in the first inning and that was all they needed....Great crowd tonight in Kernersville and very excited about going to Newman Park tomorrow night.....any TBR's gonna be there tomorrow night??

    South Rowan keeps rolling....

WOW,,,,, South Rowan is simply clicking on all cylinders. Up 2-0 in the series now, South is playing with confidence and handily beat a very good Randolph team tonight, in fact made it look easy. It ain't over yet, but congrats South on another big win tonight.
