I'm pulling for A-Rod or Griffey. Even though Bonds will break it I want a guy who does it the right way without controversy.

Bond's is gonna break it, no doubt. But I truly believe he cheated to achieve the result.

Bonds will break it, but he will never be remembered as the king like Hammerin Hank is. Bonds will always be remembered for cheating. That will be his legacy. I personally met Barry Bonds on a couple occasions and he is what everyone says he is; a jerk. Not to mention that The record will fall again soon, as A-Rod will more than likely hit well over 800.

We are in the "Steroid Era"... So who knows who did what the right way and what not?... Nobody knows Barry is the only one getting the most attention b/c he is going for this huge record. So its a given he is going to get more publicity now but when this was first brought up he was the first one mentioned. Look at A-rod... he aint skinny by no means... he has got so big no team will take him as a shortstop after he opts out this year. Roger Clemmons is 44 years old and still throwing 90... Steroids may help performance but there is one thing it does help for sure 100% and that is how long a person can play. No matter what you say Barry Bonds is the greatest this game has ever seen, Steroids may have helped him hit the ball longer but you have to make contact w/ it first!... And Barry Bonds has the best HAND EYE COORDINATION on this planet and steroids has absolutely nothing to do w/ that!

I knew my son and I didn't agree on everything but I thought we had alot of the same thoughts concerning baseball. After reading his post I find I was very wrong. I personally hope Barry Bonds never hits another home run and never breaks the record. A little unreal but never hurts to dream

:laugh4: That was great. I love it. It's a generational thing, deuce. There were many things said by your son that I agree with.
