CHARLIE HUSTLE was the best baseball player I ever saw. I will never go to Hall of Fame until he is there........ Maybe he shouldn't be allowed to Coach and maybe should be banned from the game, but never the Hall! What he did on the "field" was real.

Alot of guys (most of them maybe) took steroids. The reason I think Bonds is the worst case is that he was a sure-fire HOF BEFORE he ever took the roids. Not to condone the others, but I can understand why a guy would take them to get to the league or stay in the league, especially when they come from some poor Latin American country. But Bonds was already a top-10 player in the majors. He had it all but because of envy of the McGwire/Sosa hoopla he decided to remake himself. So I just think that is a worse case than the all the others that cheated.

I just find it hard to pull for a guy who's name is brought up for cheating. I also find it intersting how his knee injury came along the time the steroids accusations started coming out. Don't get me wrong it could be a case of bad timing, but neither the less steroids are linked to breaking down a persons body after they get off of it. Rafeal Palmeiro's 3000 hits should be taken away, Mark McGwires home runs should be erased, and if Bonds is found guilty then his home runs should be taken away. Hank Aaron didn't use roids to hit all his home runs nor did Wade Boggs or Craig Biggio use roids to get 3,000 hits. Play the game the right way.

Uh, I wouldn't be so sure about Biggio. Looks like a guy that ought to weigh about 150 lbs to me that ballooned up in to a HR hitter.

    Just my opinion......

    Has Bonds ever tested positive?

When you go back and take away all these records, are we then going to look into the potential use of steroids of all the pitchers who were tossing up these gopher balls and hits? Is MLB going to take away victories and K's, saves, etc......if some of these pitchers took them?

agree kevin11 and others with your general theme - this is MLB's issue - they (the owners and their crony commish) let it get to this point - can't now try to undo history and single out certain players when we all know 100% for sure that MLB doesn't know 100% for sure exactly who was using what, who wasn't, and who used what.

that said there are some cases like bonds that are obvious and those cases get dealt with by the baseball fans of this era - the court of public opinion.

Biggio HR seasons come and go. I was using Biggio as a refernce because of his recent 3,000 hits. But if he was to test positive then get rid of those hits too.

Bonds personal trainer also didn't say jack crap about Bonds and he in prison and will refuse to testify against Bonds, that just throws up a red flag. If Bonds never did anything wrong then why won't Greg Anderson testify?

Yes you take away pitchers records too. Don't show no mercy on them either.

I know steroids does wonders for bodies and get an average player to the next level, whether hitter or pitcher. Roids can take a guy hitting .250 to .300 or a pitcher touching 88-89 to pumping 92-93 consistently. But a thing we must remember is that this is not how the game is played. Its not fair to the guys who do it the right way and stay in the minors working their butts off to get a chance.

    I agree.....

LCLefty, I agree with you, it's not fair to alot of players. People say hardwork is rewarded, but sometimes it seems it's not enough.

When McGwire and Sosa were chasing the single season record, MLB reaped benefits and noone was crying foul because it was good for the game.

Could be worse, his bat could be corked..........hum......now where did we see that before......

I will give Bonds credit, the only time you hear his name mentioned is in relation to baseball, and egotistical or whatever, in that regard he is a great role model compared to others these days.

When his accusation came up was 2001 or 02 he got hurt in 05??????????... And Roger Clemmons has been brought up in steroid use never been brought b4 a grand jury and the same with A-Rod no body knows who has and who has not taken steroids. They are not in controversy because Bonds is going for the biggest record in Baseball DUH!... A-rod is not and Neither is Clemmons. Put your hate for him aside because you can not argue stats... He holds like 8 or 9 of the single season offensive records and there are only 32???? And Even if your in the Major leagues does not mean you have the best hand eye coordination means its good but you must not watch alot of baseball if you say Bonds does not have the best hand eye coordination. Does any body remember the game he hit the walk off of Billy Wagners 101 mph fastball. Lefty V.S. Lefty yeah he does not have the best hand eye coordination????
