I am saying that if MLB continues to award players with records that are earned under what I and most people see as questionable methods. It will hurt the game. It will not end it. It has started with the Tour de France. A fix is a fix. I do not defend Pete. He did what he did and got caught and paid the price. All I am saying is that " if you note the record, note the method.

Said much better than I could. I think they need to look at what works. NASCAR seems to have addressed the drug problem. Do drugs, get caught, Banded on questions.

Good im glad you watched Roger work out... I didnt say he didnt have a work out... I was saying that you were implying that Bonds just takes steroids and thats it... He would have to have a work out or the steroids would do nothing he just become fat.

Just saw an interesting stat watching the Braves/Giants game. A-Rod turns 32 tomorrow and has 499. When Bonds/Ruth/Aaron turned 32 Bonds had 317 HR's, Aaron had 398 and Ruth was somewhere in between those two. This is amazing to think about because A-Rod could surpass 800 HR's or more. He could shatter Bonds soon to be record and he may hold that record for a VERY long time. But it all depends on his health of course.

W/e man... All that matters is exactly what you just said when Bonds gets his record it wont be his for too long. Because assuming A-rods health stays where it is he will be the homerun king for a long time.

Just so you understand, Plate Dad. I'm not disagreeing with your points about the players that are tarnished, the methods they have used to get ahead or the lack of punishment that meets the crime. I just feel strongly that what they did/do does not equate what Rose did. I'm also of the belief that Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame.

I believe history will look back at these times, unfavorably, towards the players and the records that are broken. It used to be the 500 HR club meant certain HOF...not anymore.

I think the next one that could challenge A-Rod or Griffey is Ryan Howard, I know he is a LONG ways off but he is the quickest player in MLB history to reach 100 HR's.

BTW Deuce, I fully understand your points, it just fun every now and then to get into a convo about something. I want you to know I have nothing against you at all.

Oh I know and no hard feelings over here either... Just fun arguing. I was just saying that Bonds is hated and is the front runner of this steroid era b/c he is the one breading the record. We dont talk about all the cheaters in baseball. I was just trying to figure out y that is? Every single one of those guys are disgracing the game. So I dont hate Bonds... He isnt the only one... Like Coach27 said I blame the game as well.
