Not nearly as long as the 16 minutes it took you to post and edit your comment before you felt it was just right. Like I said, I am sure things would appear that way when somebody "has your number" like C'ville has had Caldwell County's over the years. I only hope that every game of this series ends like the 2 they've already played this year, with the winning team leaving no doubt. Whether the winner is C'ville or Caldwell there is nothing worse than somebody that blames the umpire for a loss. Personally I've never seen an umpire strike out or get a hit. If they missed one or 2 calls, they got 26 right.

    Oh how

we forget at times. So how bout a little history lesson from my side. 2000 state tournament at Caldwale post 100 player is suspended by the state director for something that the umpire did not even throw him out for? (hmmm that sure is fishy) Cherryville pulls off the hidden ball trick against ya and yall protest after the game and get to go back and finish it later. (protest are supposed to be made before the next play except in the case of illegal players) This may be where things turned between yall and the area director- (who is from Caldwell) 2003 at Cherryville it begins to rain in the 4th inning and yall are trailing so what do ya do but attempt to stall for the rain. The commish after being called out of the press box by your coach in front of everyon with this statement. "Bill you got to do something about this" The commisioner did go to your teams dug out and had it out with your coach. The umpire in this game did the correct thing by making you guys play.:stirthepot: Now in the more recent match ups I do not recall any questionable calls or goings on in the political area so :10_6_4: .
And sencha was wandering yes it is just you guys we set up and not the rest of em. :hurray:

Now back to the impotant part. COME GET SOME :189:

    1) Your catcher should have been thrown out in 2000 for slinging the bat against the back stop. The umpire had his head turned or he was afraid to call it I don't know, but the officials in the press box seen it and made the call and it was the right call

    2) The game played on in 2003 only because Cherryville was winning and wanted to hurry and get the game in. The game should have been called. I have never seen a baseball game being played with that much thunder and lightning on a ballfield

    3) In 2005 after Caldwell protested the 2004 State Title game ( caldwell won the protest by the way ) when Caldwell played two games and out of the tournament at Cherryville, the umpire behind the plate was the same umpire in both games we played and he was from Garner, he destroyed us from behind the plate and there is no doubt in my mind that we were set up because of that protest. The powers to be made sure that Caldwell was not going to advance. Don't want to take anything away from the teams that did beat Caldwell, they may have beat us anyway, but the Garner umpire behind the plate made dang sure Caldwell would not win these games. Alex Fairweather pitched the first game... some of the calls he made against Fairweather was unreal. You tell me how did Caldwell get the same umpire in both games, behind the plate and he's from Garner...too fishy for me...what better place to set up a ambush on Caldwell than Cherryville .....I could go on but I got work to do

3 as for this conspiracy theory you got going on I kind of like it and see nothing wrong with this at this time. But you are so wrong if you think the politics have any thing to do with it. Cherryville probably is the most talked about team because of its players and coach in legion history.... and most see the negative side. But most of the time it is just jelousy talking.... Any how we are coming so get ready!!!!:sign0090:
If in your mind the bat throwing was enough for a suspension then of course a catcher bumping another player from another team should be. But this was not the case this year when your catcher bumped our third baseman after a walk was issued and words were exchanged.... sometimes you have to use judgement and in this case that was good judgment. In the 2000 case it was not good judgment.

    2) Your commisioner did not step in and stop the game. The ump stated it was the most bush league thing he had ever seen when the team attempted to stall. And you never did admit to stalling.... well did you or did you not stall. Bottom of the third your pitcher was thowing softball practice six feet out side to all the batters.... cmon now admit it.....

    1) It was the way he threw the bat and the situation at the end of the game that got him.... he could have hurt somebody

    2) as for bumping another player....come on

    3) The umpire who said it was the most bush-league thing he had ever seen.....hell, he couldn't even see a storm as big as Cherryville on top of him

    4) NO POLITICS IN LEGION BASEBALL>>>>LMAO

    5) As far as the commisioner calling the game in cherryville, he was not going to do that, he was to scared to call the game in Cherryville with Cherryville leading

carolina boy some of the things you say are ridiculous, we all know that cherryville is the team everyone wants to see lose, no one ever worries enough about caldwell for there to be a conspiracy against them.....but if u guys are gonna choke again this year, it'll have to be a 2-0 lead instead of 3-1 lead that you blow...ur daddy's coming to town tonight, and that's Mr. Reynolds to you
