It wouldnt be fair for me to come on here and get into what actually happened. I have talked to coach Brown and others that know exactly what happened. Maybe one day coach Brown will come on here and tell the story but he probaly will not. He probaly is ready to just move on. I do believe he has already landed a teaching and coaching job in Florida where his mother and sister live. I wish him the best. One thing for sure is you can never accuse Coach Brown of not working hard for his players and his program. "Nab" will be missed. I remember him as a young assistant coach at Southern Durham HS. He was so passionate about coaching and teaching the game. He was always the last guy to leave the park always willing to work with a kid well after official practice was over. He moved on to Oxford Webb HS and the change in the attitude of the players and the upgrading of the facilities was awesome. Everywhere he has been he has improved the program from where it was when he got there. Good luck Coach Brown.

It's none of our business what happened. I'm glad you didn't discuss it.

Great Post Kenny.... you hit the nail on the head. I have had the opportunity to coach with and against Nab for many years, from his days at Webb through the State Games.... He is passionate about the game and is always looking to learn. One heckuva nice guy too.. I wish him nothing but the best!!!

    Coach Brown

My son has had the privilege of playing for Coach Brown and he really enjoys it. From the stands it appears he is a great field general and I believe his players would run through a wall for him.

This is why we keep losing quality coaches in various programs across the state. Coaches are constantly being second guessed about every move from the parents. Parents used to just hand their kids over and trust the coach to do the right thing. I guess because there are coaches that don't always "do the right thing", then all coaches are subject to that scrunity.
I agree with you coach27, however after just having gone through a situation with a coach and being an
    ex-player/coach it's a very difficult situation.
How I like to handle it it have the player go to the coach to discuss and if that doesn't work, then I would approach, if possible, on a level that I would like to be approached. If that doesn't work, then the matter is dropped and we look for other alternatives, of which there may not be any. In that case, you live with what you have, as life is not always fair or going to be exactly as you have in mind. In my experience, things usually work out for the best or things happen for a reason!
Old School is not the "In-Thing" these days!
Maybe soon that will change also!

I have known Coach Brown for many years. What a passionate coach! Passionate about the game and for his players. I got to know him working at summer camps. He approached camp games like play-off games. We also had many great matchups when he was at Webb, where like Coach 27 said, he greatly elevated that program. I hate he had to leave under such circumstances, but I know I would not have stayed around at a school where I had NO backing from the administration. Best of luck to Nab! It will work out for him somewhere, no doubt.

    Nice new digs!

It looks just like a real baseball field... Randleman, let's say, was rather unique. Coach Brown could put a team togather in a Walmart parking lot so with that facility he will be back in the hunt again soon at playoff time.
