cherryville out played caldwell tonite. ruined a good pitching performance by servert. bad plays in the field and not getting the clutch hits did caldwell in. impressive proformance by cherryville

one negative ill say is i know umpiring is very tough but i think it is a shame that pitchers have to pitch with an umpire like we had tonite. he gave cherryville just as hard a time as caldwell. had one of those gallon bucket sized strike zones. called really good pitches balls all nite on both pitchers. just my opinion but if i knew he was behind the plate i really dont think i would go. just seems like he wanted to really be the center of everything with all the attenion on him. been going to legion games for 40 years and i cant stand that type of ump. imho at this point in the season and at this level there has to be someone better availible.

Congratulations to Cherryville on not packing it in after last night's performance. I noticed a different demeanor with Cherryville in the warmups tonight and batting practice. There were no smiles on anyone's face and they were all business.

Now let's see if Caldwell can likewise bounce back like Cherryville did. Once again I can't understand why teams can't win at home. There have now been 5 games played between the 2 teams and the home team is 0-5. For Caldwell's sake let's hope that the trend doesn't end tomorrow.

Once again another big crowd at MS Deal in Granite Falls tonight. There was well over $1200 in the half and half tonight with the winner taking in over $600. Too bad I didn't win it because it would have helped relieve the pain of this loss.

    Where were you sitting?

I sat right behind the plate and while there were definitely some inconsistencies, pitchers were not having to groove the ball, most of the night they were getting 6" off and 3" in. You must hit your spots, work ahead and stay ahead in the count, that is something we did not do, in addition to not getting some timely hitting, and making a few mistakes in the field. Of course it always helps when calls go your way, and that is something that didn't happen either.

    Hmmmmm

Well well well once again it has happened. Some how the lowly post 10 team has been able to go to the big house and beat down the big boys AGAIN. What a perfomance by Watts with the old knuckle ball rolling over the plate.

Pivotal point in the Game was in the seventh with one out and the 20whiners on 2nd and 3rd Watts strikes out Severt and gets a ground ball to get out of the inning. I reckon the mouth got a little dry and the ol guts were churning when it got tight for the 20whiners..........................

Hey Moose LOUD MOUTH IS OVER HERE..............................YOO HHOOOOO OVER HERE:10_6_4:

Last night game consisted of Eddie Taylor at 3rd, Charlie Henry at 1st, and Scott Stilwell on the plate. That is what was said at the start of the game. I thought it was a good game and called equal for both sides but the 29ers had some errors and left a small village on the base pads. Good luck to both teams the last two games.
