    Game 7

Pritchard will play in Game 7 and the coach will sit. Beason (who made sure everyone knew he was in attendance) met with the umps after the game and made the decision about Pritchard, but coaches automatically get one game.

Salisbury should be rocking tonight. Good luck to both teams.

That's riduculous if he is allowed to play. He got thrown out and it is an automatic one game suspension. I hope Beason would not be allowed to change this rule because that's not right. If a Rowan player got thrown out for running his mouth, which would never happen, Beason would probably have them suspended for a week. Something really has to be done about this guy because he is an total idiot.

    as usual.........

a post with the Rowan slant. You know an aweful lot to be not be on top of things here dude.

#1 - Had Pritchard been arguing balls and strikes all night he would have been warned at one point or another by at least one of the umpires. It was the plate umpires contention that he had been warned by BOTH field umpires. Amazingly neither of them said they warned him. Real professional of the blue behind the plate. We won't go into the balls and strikes which has been all over the place in Area 3 all season. Is there anyone besides Cecil Mauch who is just reasonably capable????

#2 - Pritchard will hit in the 3 hole tonight. You won't get off that easy. Bad run of luck on that one for you guys. You're having enough trouble getting Bunting and Marsh out.

It has been quite entertaining watching and listening to the juvenile antics of the Rowan crowd this series. whoooppp wooooooooooo. :sign0090:

    He wasn't an idiot......

...when he switched everything around to give you guys homefield advantage after losing a coin toss for it. He wasn't an idiot when he refused to help solve field issues surrounding game 1.

The first thing that Rowan thinks should be different and we get this in a public forum. Just say it, you think your chances are better if he's not in the game, and that's your only concern.

:sign0090: , quit :bigcry: and play baseball.

Hey guys, I don't have a dog in this fight (oooopss!! That's not a very Mike Vick thing to say these days) but I can give you this observation: my pitcher son was ejected for hitting a batter in a Legion game this year----without a previous warning----that resulted in a one game suspension. :euro2: (my Euro's worth...couldn't find the 2 cents smilie)

Good luck to both teams in Garner.

Intentionally throwing at another player (ex. Church to Pritchard twice in Game 5, Davis to Church in Game 6) is different then arguing balls and strikes. Arguing doesn't run the risk of injuring another player on purpose, plus if the ump behind the plate could have watched himself he would have argued too.

you got that right. i wish i could be there because it sounds like a classic match-up, just like Kannapolis and Caldwell Co. up in Thomasville last year.

I guess it would be bad timing to suggest a TBR meeting at Newman Park tonight, wouldn't it? :sifone:

Pritchard was ejected for essentially agruing balls and strikes. It was kind of a thin line. He really didn't say much, but was "'pouting" and showing up the umpire. I'm not sure if he was warned, but it was going on for awhile and I think the ump had enough. The ejection happened after he hit a batter, then walked the next on what were not very close pitches.

Pritchard is playing tonight. Pugh will not be coaching. Randolph is a really, really good team.

Is it just me, or did Area III get the shaft in the tourney draw. The winner gets Garner, who is probably the weakest team in the field, but they have to play them on their home field. The loser of Rowan-Randolph sets up a Titanic match-up with Morehead City. Last year, Kannapolis had to face Pitt County and Alex White in the first round.

No dog in this fight either, but it is not automatic for players to receive 1 game supsensions. That is a HS rule, Area III says that it is automatic for the coach, but not the player. It will be determined after the AD,Umpires & Beeson discuss it.

Wasn't there last night, could care less who wins, just stating the Area III rules(handed out prior to start of season). Also, not saying it is right that he can play tonight either.
