Curious if anyone wants to bracketology the tournament before it starts? For fun only and not to get anyone's nose out of joint. Don't know if that is possible with Churaville & Galdwell both involved but worth a try.

But let me qualify this by saying I'm terrible in prognostication. I have a strong feeling that Randolph will win, but that's how I see the games' winners to be.

Bracket

I have not actually seen the bracket, but in scratching out what you have laid out here it seems to be a little off... Shouldn't the winners of games 9 and 10 play, and then the winner of that play the loser of game 11 for the right to play the undefeated team left in the winner's bracket for the championship?

 

Everything is good until Game 14 which has some senario's that can led to the winner of game 11 receiving a bye to game 15 if they lose game 13. It's a new format where the winners bracket winner does not have a day off waiting on winner of losers bracket. It has positives and negatives, but I like it overall. It's one of those things they do in the regionals so legion powers are going to give it a try.

I'm still for 7 game series throughout, but I don't think we will see those days again, but it definitely cures the host team issues.

Wow, I don't know guys,,,, I think its going to be a great tourney. Wayne County is always tough, I understand Morehead City returns all but one player who won the state title last year, Garner will be pumped to be host team, and Rowan County is Rowan County,,,,, but with that said,,,,,,,,,, right now I think Randolph County may possibly be playing the best ball. Randolph is LOADED, they just beat a strong Rowan County team 4 outta 6 games and Randolph never threw their ace. Before the week is over, everyone will know who Randolph shortstop Neil Pritchard (Elon) is. Pritchard just went 2/4 last night against Rowan with 2 homeruns and his batting average went DOWN. Cherryville would be my pick to face Randolph in the finals.

Caldwell certainly has the talent to be a sleeper and Morehead City is strong again, I just don't know how much Morehead has been pushed. Randolph County is battle-tested and right now are swinging the sticks 1-9 awesome. From Ben Bunting (UNC signee) leading off, theres not an easy out in their lineup.
