    Watched

Watched the Cobras play three times and they really looked good, never quit, had two comebacks that I saw. Aggressive at bat and that was the key. Cardinals were business as usual, putting pressure on the opponent and getting good pitching. NC teams played well overall, we just did not hit, I only had three girls with more than two hits. Our pitching was as good as I could expect as Constance, Anna, and Kalie threw very well. Anna pitched in every game but one for us and I am not sure she gave up an earned run. Constance had a good series with six hits and Tish had seven hits and some great defensive plays. Triangle Lighting played well the game I saw, they seem to have a schedule that conflicted with ours but they beat some good teams.
Great experience for all the girls and glad four NC teams were there, we must continue to build on our experience each year.
Got to say was disappointed with number of college coaches that attended. It appeared to be the smallest number of the four years we have attended.
Hats off to College Station, a great job! I sent the Blues on a tour of Texas A&M as one of our parents had a connection. Made it manatory as I feel these college tours are necessary to get our players focusing on the true reason for college.
Anyway thanks to all the NC teams that came and watched us play! I think it is great that we can pull for each other and still play so hard against each other.

Go RAy bring home another! Cobras, nice run U truly beat some quality teams. Triangle Ligthing, nice job! See all of U soon.

I would say that most of the coaches were at the ASA 16U nationals in South Dakota. The 18s are becoming more like a college freshman team. Most of the teams at the 18U nationals have quite a few college players playing for them and the rest are mostly girls that have graduated high school and have already signed...not much bang for the buck for a college coach. Most D1s have already got their 2008 class and are looking for 2009 and 2010.
