    Draws

I followed the brackets. The Travelers Elite beat both the Blues and the Cobras. Too bad for the blues to draw them first round and then to get the Cobras later on. Congrats to all the NC teams.

U are right about the draw. We felt the Travelers Elite were one of the best teams we ever played, hit the ball well and had decent speed. Centerfielder ran down a ball Keeli Michael hit to the fence which would have been a three run homer and we win. Gave up two runs on a passed ball and balk and ran ourselves out of another key run losing 4-2. The pool play gave us no advantage as we both were #2 in our brackets and both brackets were tough. Hey no spilled milk here, U have to perform each and every game and we just did not hit.

Correct; The trend to early commits . . .

means that many schools are finished with thier '08's'. I know several coaches who went the 16's as opposed to 18's. I lived in college station for 3 years. It's a real nice place with great people.

Great job to the NC teams. Proud of you all. Congrats to the Cobras for winning all pool games and making the elite 8 undefeated. Finishing in the top 10 out of 130+ teams is an accomplishment for sure. It was a great job pitching for Morgan and Emma. It also takes great D to hold these teams to low runs. Fantastic (play of the day) catches in the outfield by Erin Foster. Ally Blake caught all the Cobra games and did a great job also. Then add strong bats to put runs on the board. The Cobras played great ball and it was very exciting to still be playing on Sat. The Coaching was on top of its game also, hats off to Charlie, Donnie, and Scotty. You guys found weakness and used it to your advantage as well. Wished the College coaches wouldn't have wrote Texas off short there were still alot of 09's and 10's playing up that showed their stuff. Still time for these girls to be seen, but this was a big one for the unsigned girls. Special thanks to Bob and Marvin. These guys were with us every play and helped rally us on all the way.

The Artesia Punishers from Califonia are the 2007 ASA 18u national champions.
They finished with one loss. Can anyone guess who they lost too?

    Congrats to Cobras

Congratulations to the Cobras for showing so well at the ASA Nationals in College Station, TX.

Now that Nationals are behind, what is next in store for the Cobra's? What are the upcoming tournaments that they are scheduled to play in?
