Kendayl Waugh Invitational Tournament...now taking teams

The Kendayl Waugh Invitational
August 25-26, 2007



The Carolina Cobras will be hosting a tournament on August 25-26 at Salisbury Community Park. All the proceeds will go to the Waugh Family to help with medical expenses. Kendayl was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Disease in late March.

The format will be 4 games, three games then single elimination. Your team
does not have to be ASA sanctioned, just have proof of team insurance. We invite all age groups to play.

Okay Teams

I think alot of folks got to see or meet Kendayl this past weekend in Rock Hill. Flyers were available on the tour, so all you coaches, parents talk to your coaches, lets load this thing up, & show the Waughs how great the softball family can be !!!

 

Kendayl Update

Kendayl had a great time this weekend. Being around all the softball players and coaches was great medicine. All of you have shown a great love and support for her. She goes to Baptist Tuesday for her last round of treatment. Softball will be a little slow for the next couple of weeks. Don't hesitate to talk to her or her parents. All questions are open. And if you know of anyone we need to call to give an encouraging word to, just let us know. The 9th floor at Brenner's Hospital is an eye opening experience. We all are so blessed. Special thanks to the Cardinals, Lady Blues and the Cobras.

 

Status?

Is this tournament filling up? I hope so!!!

Personally, I think it would be great if we could get REALLY large participation in this event. I don't know Kendayl Waugh or her family, but have heard such great things about them all. I hope the various coaches that have that particular weekend free will make an attempt to fill the brackets for the Waugh family.

If a team can't make this tournament, is there a place to make a donation?

Tournament cancelled

We had to cancel the tournament for Kendayl, did not have enough teams to enter. Thanks to those who did enter and all those that bought raffle tickets.

 

WAKE UP TEAMS!

OK, so its summer, and a so-called down time. What are you guys thinking here? MAN UP coaches and do whats right! Send the entry fee ( at the very least ). WOW! 8u - 18u should all be part of this help. I'm floored to say the least at the fastpitch communities lack of support!
