Great move by Cherryville whether intentional or not, by losing to Wayne County in this heat gives Cherryville a huge advantage by having to play one game to win. Caldwell or Wayne having to play back to back at this stage of the tournament, add the heat, pitching rotation, it will take a special group to pull it off. I really believe Caldwell is that special. We will see. If Cherryville had won Saturday, it would have been a good possiblitly Cherryville would have to play two games Sunday to win. This way Cherryville plays one game against a wore out team. Good move Bobby Dale

I usually don't criticize other posters, but do you think you could give our team a bit of credit?

We have a lot of pitchers available today and, unlike others, we don't pitch them into the ground.

Anything can happen on the baseball field and Reynolds knows that. There is no way he chooses to come into today in a situation when one loss to Caldwell or Wayne now knocks Cherryville out, when he could have come in just needing to split two games vs Caldwell to win the championship.

If playing in the heat is an advantage to anyone today, it will be for Wayne County. They have played at 12:30 3 out of 4 days this week. Plus, it won't be nearly as hot today as it has been.

thats not an excuse pecker head, its common sense...look at the situation...playing two games in this heat and using up more pitching or one game and out...

well, in all fairness... cherryville did what they had to do to earn a Game 14 bye by beating Caldwell in Game 11.

Sorry...you guys are missing my point.....I did not mean to say that Cherryville lost on purpose....I meant to say that it probably was in Cherryville's best interest to lose to Wayne (Sorry about that Wayne). These guys have been through a very tiring week with ballgames and heat, being away from home with there buddy's in a motel room (They don't get alot of quality rest). I'll try again....Coming down to the final game on Sunday with the pitching on each team is getting to the critical point, I would rather play one game against a team who has already spent three hours on the ball field in the hot sun following a week each team has experienced and their pitching staff and team has to be in more critical condition than my team who has gotten a chance to rest since yesterday....That's my point...

Sorry about that Wayne...your team has made a great run and very well could win the title...My post came off wrong... tried to explain its meaning in later post. From what I've heard Wayne is the best hitting team down there...Good Luck

He's got Henderson ready to go and he's a horse...one game and you win the title.....Cherryville was already in the title game regardless of winning or losing to Wayne. BD is on the bottom of his pitching staff just like everybody else. Playing a title game against a team who's tank has to be running on empty after having to play a early game at one is more attractive to me ...just my opinion
