Who are the kids of 09? Who should everyone be keeping their eye on and who would you put on your fantasy team for the class of 09?

The kids that impressed me are:

Brian Goodwin(sp), from Rocky Mount area I think
    Bass kid from Durham
    Henderson from Rutherfordton
    Nick McBride from Winston
Nate Cash is a good catcher from Ragsdale

All these kids played Impact. I didn't see many other programs.

That said, I'm not a scout so I miss a lot that people more qualified would notice. Although I think anyone could notice these kids.

http://www.perfectgame.org/schedule/2007/index.aspx This is to the Prefect Game site. Check the profiles and top teams. This will give you an idea of those around the state and other that neighbor. The Burlington Underclassman and Top Prospect in Zebulon has some other local kids listed.

Ben Fish (Rocky Mount)-in my opinion, the 2nd best catcher in the state, regardless of class, behind only Jeff May.

Matt Batts (Mt. Tabor)-have been impressed with him all 3 times I have seen him. Being a lefthander helps.

Tyler Joyner (Northern Nash)- lefthander with upper 80's velocity and a nasty slider to go with it. He has already committed to ECU. Touched 90 at the State Games. Best '09 pitcher in the state?

Goodwin, Michael, and Joyner would be my top 3 players in this class if I was ranking them. Bass and Fish are not far behind. This is from what I have seen. I am sure there are others just as good.

Old Angels coach had a great bunch of boys on that team. Many of these boys were honor roll students and are still some of the outsatnding players for their high school and summer teams.

He can verbally commit whenever he wants to, but he can not sign his binding NLI until November of '08
