    The Canadians then opened the championship bracket with a 9-2 win over the United States before defeating Chinese Taipei twice by the scores of 2-1 and 5-4 to earn the gold medal, rebounding from a 4-0 deficit with five runs in the bottom of the seventh in the championship game.

    Hate USA lost. But its good for softball as a whole. As other countries prove they can compete with us it will stimulate interest in the sport worldwide. Maybe the Olympics committee will open their eyes.

    It was NOT the USA national team that played .. Saw it on SPY...
    Not sure exactly who it was representing the US ..I think it was
    some 16U team from So Cal...Ha Ha

    I believe I saw the team that was representing the USA was made up of Junior College players...I could be wrong.
