Then you must have been at a different ball park than I, because I was there for all three games, and the South Caldwell coach,"DID NOT TAKE PART IN ANY COACHING OF THE TEAM".
In fact, I don't even think she was even in attendance is the last two games that the Spartans played.....

    Volunteers...

...are SO SO SOOOOO needed! With the exception of a few teams, softball, baseball, volleyball, etc. who have KNOWLEDGABLE coaches in place, the vast majority of teams remaining rely on these folks giving their time. If a teacher tudors a kid over the summer break, lets say in math, does she become ineligable to teach in the fall?

Got to admitt cheeze, that at the last two games I did not travel around much, found the shade in the scorekeep facility and sat and enjoyed whatever breeze that might come through....

now, i've only been living down here for the past 20 yrs, and i dont remember an august like this last one. glad it's the last day of this month, and glad the younger guys/gals are coaching now, dont know if i could take the heat anymore. the girls have to be real troopers to continue to play in this mix of heat and humidity.

    see ya on the field

    STUPID RULE!!

When exactly is the dead time? We haven't mentioned that yet.

I've got a lot of high school players that help me with my middle school practices. I rotate them into my drills, as if they were in middle school again. But softball is the only sport they play.

Dead period did end today. Fall workouts can start up tomorrow with one less player than needed to play. I know we are cranking up.

I said it before And I will say it again... If the coach breaks the rules, what message does that send his players? Dumb rule or not, it is a standard set forth by our governing body. SO FOLLOW IT or be willing to pay the price.

To me integrity is essential in a winning program, but what do I know. I want my players to follow the rules and learn to win within the rules. Thank goodness they have the initiative to do the workouts I have set up for them earlier.
