So they are a mixture of 08's and 09's now? In any case they are a very good team. I know the DB's are a mixture of mostly 08's with some very talented 09's as well.

I heard that Ryan is headed to App State is that correct?

Yes that is what his dad said yesterday. Looks like they are building a pretty good class as Wil Helms(08) from Providence HS who plays for the Megastars has committed as well.

The first time the dirtbags and SCP 09' met was at Wingate when they tied. The last time they played was at Wake Forest where they 10 run ruled them!

    Building a very good class

They also got Zack Briggs SS who plays with the Carolina Cubs in the summer. I know they just brought in a great class of 07 guys.

I do not think you can show where I posted anything negative about the SCP. Just wanted to set the score straight about their game with the Dirtbags at Wingate. I m quite sure both teams are very good.

    Guys I have seen

    Pitchers
Corey Roberts RHP - Olympic; overpowering, more K's than innings pitched
Luke Bard RHP - Charlotte Christian; throws hard and keeps the ball down, ERA below 1.00.
Matt Batts LHP - Mt. Tabor; wish I could bottle what he's got, hard to describe - just successful.
Justin Setzer LHP - Marvin Ridge; crafty lefty that keeps hitters off balance. Great off-speed stuff.
Joe Shealy RHP - South Meck; good at working the corners, powerful bat also.
Alex Wood LHP - Ardrey Kell; excellent control of all pitches, ERA below 1.00. This kid knows how to pitch.

    Catcher
Tyler Tewell BL TR - Butler; I'll let others comment about this kid if they so choose, I think he's pretty good. Also plays RF.

    Infield
Spencer Shuey BR TR - South Meck; Big 1B with a big bat. Hits the ball hard.
Richie Shaffer BR TR - Providence; Good pitcher also, but I like to watch him at SS, he makes some killer plays. Hits for power and average.
Shane Basen BR TR - Marvin Ridge; Strong 3B, hits the ball hard, good glove and accurate arm.
C.A. Clayton BR TR - Providence; MIF with soft hands and quick release. Uses the entire field when hitting.
Drew Casella TR BB – Providence; MIF switch hitter with speed. Lays out for everything in practice or games, hard worker.

    Outfield
Tyler Miller BR TR - Ft. Mill; Offensive machine, power and average. Tracks everything down in outfield.
Casey Gebhardt BR TR - South Meck; Another speedster that tracks everything in the outfield. Hits for average and a smart base runner.
Tyler Zupcic BR TR - Providence; Can play multiple positions well, lead off batter with speed and hits to all fields.
Ryan Stetson BR TR – Ardrey Kell; Speed, speed, speed. Bunts, hits for power, average, and forces defensive errors. Makes CF look easy.

Again, these are the guys I know. There are many more that I have noticed, but do not have their names. PM me with any errors so I can correct.

Tart is a good player, solid defender in the infield and good bat. One of Riverside's better players, he is solid all around.
