I have been ask to repost more clearer. What Showcase team has the best records?
Ok. I have seen many post about this team that team. On any given day a team could & will beat anyone. Who has the game stats to prove it? Now guidelines since without info this could result in a recall vote. Wins, loses and ties for the summer (Jan to July) fall (August to Dec). Total number of games. This will be as you on the board put it grad year (08,09..ect). Let's start at 04. This way everyone has a chance. No comment on games. Just the meat. Jupiter, East Cobb or other (National level) Showcases maybe commented on by a meation of finish as these are premier events and stand alone. Your choice it is time to put up or ________.

 

you would have thought that with all the great minds these records would not be hard to find. As they say Oh well, silents is golden.

 

unrelated/semi related???? who is the kid that plays at North Henderson that plays with one of the showcase teams on the weekends??? All I know is that he is a Senior at North Henderson this year.

 

In my opinion, the record of a true showcase team is not important. The effectiveness of the organization in getting its players seen is goal #1. However, we all know that hardly any teams are formed without the intent to win.

 

I agree that is the purpose. Although, many post have been made by members as to who won at what meeting. It is posted on their websites as to were they finish at. So, seeing that that info was out there. I thought it would make for great postings.

 

Being that exposure for the kids is the primary goal, I doubt you will see anyone from a position of authority post their showcase team record. However it's pretty easy to see how each group performed at major events by visiting their websites. I doubt it's a secret; just not the focus.

 

i can remember when the On Deck teams hardly ever won anything... and really didnt care if they won or not.. my teams used to love them in our pool. but then you notice the players 1 by 1 playing at the college level..

Not all meetings are in a showcase. All teams play a combination of showcases and actual tournaments. Every team I've seen plays showcase ball with set pitching rotations and moves players in/out of the game as well as to different positions. With that said, it would be naive to think that just because its a showcase teams do not care about winning. The players on every team play to win every game and that's the way the players should be.

 

ONe thing to consider is that some teams believe that they can win with whoever is on the field.... The goal is to present the opportunity then give the kid sthe chance to prove they can be successful... While W/L are considered the true measure is the effectiveness of getting kids to the next level...
