Crest wins 14-7 and stopped the Lions on the 3 yard to preserve the win.

How about Coach Kirby running a defense that Buddy Ryan came up with in the 50's. Another great game in the Crest/Shelby series. Good to see Zac Halbert getting on the field as a WR. After getting benched this week he went to the staff and told them he would do whatever he could to help the team. He could have hung his head and sulked, but kudos to him on his great attitude. That is the biggest crowd I have seen at Crest in a while. It certainly rivals the Crest/Gaffney game from 97.

Shelby will be a beast once again in the playoffs. Their speed to the outside is great. That last punt by Vanderhoof was one of the prettiest I have seen at any level. That joker just hung their in the air like it was hanging from a string. Wish Levon would have just gotten away from it, but it was a beauty.

Reggie has a rifle for an arm. He put that ball down the field on those passes to Levon (one dropped one called back). Could anybody find the illegal man down field on the one that was called back. I couldn't but to be honest once he let the ball go I was looking else where. Just seemed that it happened to fast for anyone to get that far down field.
Best game by far for the Crest O-line. They should continue to improve, as should the rest of the Crest offense.

    Way to go Chargers.

I tell you what though, there are a lot of Crest fans that miss the NW4A. It made for some nice road trips.

hahaha i bet so im sure watauga was a blast. i remember the days of the chargers pulling up with 5 bus loads lookin like a sea of green and yellow. watchin the malloys and josh brown, maurice and chris petty not to mention all the d1 linebackers that came through there. im glad those days are over hahaha. it was good though lining up and seeing how good u really were as a player when u had to match up with crest. you found out real quick if u were a man or a little boy.
