It was very cool to be able to go to 16A Nationals this year and our group got alot of attention while being there, but most of our attention came from our Showcase Schedule. We play the Team NJ Showcase, Music City Hits and the Cardinal Classic. Form there colleges had already seen our players and prior to Nationals.

And I will be the first to say that our players do a great job of contacting the coaches that they have the desire to go to school at. I know that these coaches get numerous emails from our players and they have all taken the time to come watch all of them.

Thanks to everyone for all of your support and thanks to all of the coaches who are recruiting our players.

    My Last Post

For the last time I will clarify my self .........
If you have a youngster that is an 09-011 that you think is a high caliber
scholarship worthy player , Your BEST opportunities are playing GOLD !
Take it or leave it. You can still go to local school or a D111 school even if you play Gold....
You will just get more looks and better offers if you play GOLD....
I don't see how so many of you can argue that , when you have never even been there or done it yourself...

Yes ,you can get a scholarship without it. You will get bigger & better offers if you do though... I was there and saw it ..It's a fact !!

    I'm out of here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good Luck to all........

    Okay Agreed But---

Okay you win,but what if an individual can't afford the cost of "GOLD" ?? What's plan "B" ??? I don't know your income, and that's your business, but I already have a set of twins in college, and I just don't have the funds for extensive travel. What's the solution in this case ??

Guru- over the years we have had players who had the same issue with the travel costs you bring up. We provide a couple of options to those who want to do it and these young ladies are able to raise the funds needed. A couple of years ago, we had one young lady raise over $3000 and it took her all 2 hours. The average amount each player raises is about $1500. PM me if you're intersted and I will provide more info.

    Lets get down to it

It is not that your DD cant afford to play GOLD it is that the parents can't afford to go with them so they are not willing to let them play GOLD.

If every team had to finance for the player and the parents then it would be expensive for everyone, but it some cases in order to play the highest level your player may have to or should go with out the parent. So many of you in the Carolinas aren't ready for the cutting of the strings ceremony.

Cut the string put your player with a team that has a team mom that can help be responsible for them and find out what they are made of. Buy the tme you spend the money for the whole family to go to Florence, Rock Hill, or Cary, your DD could have been in Colorado or Cali, playing against the kids that are getting the majority of the attention.

    LET GO, or STAY HOME

    Sat back and read

    Great previous post.

Do not blame this all on money. I have read where you can do fundraisers to pay the bill. If you are passionate about playing the best talent it looks like their are opportunities to play. I do not have a dog in the fight but this is America and if you want something quit talking about it and raise some money.

    HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM !!!

I don't know if you are a kid or a parent, but ask yourself the same question did you go or stay home?? Who in their right mind would let their 15-17 year old daughter go half way around the USA,and not want to see them play or be with them. Your statement is unfounded, and not thought through before you spoke. Furthermore it is easy to make that statement if you already have the means to go versus if you don't have the means to go,because you probably went to these far places having no reservations over finances if you are indeed a parent. I have found out in life that it easier to be satisfied when things are going my way. Call it being "SPOILED" !!!!

So your answer to the problem.....

So let me get this straight, your solution is for parents to stop being parents to their children, so they can play Gold ball! I guess they could be phone parents, huh? WOW!!! Oh yes, that is a smart thing to tell parents! Because there aren't enough parents that let someone else raise their kids! In case no one told you, being a parent is a fulltime job! Not a part time job! Being a parent and being there for your child is important! Heck just let the little gals move out and get an apartment at 14 or so! I personally chose to be a fulltime parent, not a part time parent!
My dd had her parents there for her, every step of the way! She also got to go to tounrments without us, when there was someone that we TRUSTED with the responsibility of watching after our dd!
Again I say Gold is not for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOT EVERYONE CAN DO GOLD BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is that simple! Period!!
