    still OK

So Red or Nats; it don't really matter. Seems either of these weak teams would be an optimum scenario for Godwin to break into the majors. Is he on outfielder?

I was at a football game 2 weeks ago and a home boy of mine mention that Tyrell was from our home town and I decided to do some homework to see why we had not seen his name in the majors. This is a very interesting article from the Washington Post - http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A21806-2005Mar9?language=printer. He did not take the big money straight out of HS electing to go to Carolina on a Moorehead Scholarship and play football & baseball as well. I can see why it is such a difficult decision for kids at 17 or 18 years of age to make the decision to attend college (especially those that are academically gifted as well) or take the millions of dollar signing bonus. He could have significantly hurt his baseball career by not doing that. His pocketbook was hurt significantly but he says he has no regrets. He finished this season with the AAA Columbus Clippers batting .234.

    My Top 10

Cameron Maybin.....A man among boys in HS
Patrick Johnson......A hammer that was unfair
David Mailman.......sweet and pure from the left side
Steve Streater......saw him once, if he played now, everyone would be talking about him.
Greg Holt......I just love to watch him compete on the hill.
Tyler Hanover......I could watch him play everyday.
Steven Cook......Local pitcher from swain that was a bulldog in the upper 80's
    Justin Jackson......effortless at shortstop
John Hinson......so much power from such a short stroke

Only really started following hs baseball a few years ago, so my list is from pretty recent young men.
