I just wanted to put my 2 cents worth in. For all of the posters who are bashing please cut it out. I have seen many 16, 17, and 18 year old showcases and they weren't anything to brag about but i will not go on the website and bash them because gentlemen, baseball is baseball and if the parents would just shut their mouth the kids would have a great time. I know it is competitive when it comes to trying to get our kids in the right situation to get a baseball scholarship. talking abou teams and players in a negative way just isn't right. If daddy wants to coach let him, no one is making you or anyone play for that team. Hell every coach is somebody daddy. I don't know any player on that spartan team but i am proud of team. Remember they could be doing something negative out here instead of playing ball. Thumbs up to all the players who play the greatest game there is. Just wanted to let everyone know Alex is doing great at UNCW and is really enjoying college baseball but more importantly enjoying being a college student. Hell YES! i am a proud daddy.

 

I tend to agree. Really, does it matter that someone comes on here and "boosts" their team? Especially an undergrad team. Personally, I look at those teams they way I look at JV teams. I really don't care what their records are. It means very little. But I am very interested in how the young guys are playing. If a fall team wants to come on here and boast they are #1...good for them. If they don't...good for them. All I care about is who the players are and how are they looking?

Great post pirate, I think one of the problems is there has been many post scattered throughout the forums where alot of regular posters refer to "Daddy ball" not in a good light. As pirate pointed out, we are all Daddy's and we do care about our kids.

I'll go with the #1 definition of funny-to cause laughter or amusement. This is tooooooooo funny! All I was doing is giving recognition to the Spartans for a job well done. Who knew there was so much animosity towards the Spartans, or is it just Caldwell Co. Congtats to the O's this past weekend, they have a great team! The Spartans played hard but didn't come out on top this time. It happens. Win or lose they will continue to play the game they love! Let's not kick them when they are down!
