    :computer:The book of Proverbs is a book of sayings & I've always enjoyed little quotes, sayings & the like. And after reading Cometfan's signature yesterday, I'm a little curious if anyone else has some favorites that they use for motivation, encouragement, etc.not only in softball, but for the trails of life in general. A couple of mine are:
    1. What ever you lie with today, you have to sleep with tonight( meaning whatever decisions you make today, good or bad, you have to live with.
    2. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink, but you put salt in his oats & make him thirsty.
    3. A tea pot never sings til he gets in hot water.
    4. A kite rises against the wind, not with it.
    5. If you see a turtle on a stump, he didn't get there by hisself. & my all time favorite:
    6. A turtle never gets ahead til he sticks his neck out.

    My Top 10 Sayings
    1. Never throw rocks at the neighbors house, when you live in a glass house!
    2. If you can't run with the big dogs, stay under with porch with the pups!
    3. This isn't a dress rehersal, you only get one shot to get it right!
    4. Good judgement comes from experience and often experience comes from bad judgement!
    5. A friend is someone who is there when you need them, even when they would rather be somewhere else!
    6. Failure is only a temporary change of direction to set you straight for your next success!
    7. Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it!
